Hi Team

Have recently been tasked to look at our on-prem JIRA v6.1.5 and export all info, including comments/notes and any attachments, from the stories into excel/xml.

Any built-in feature in this version to do this? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Cheers

Lem

You could do these:

  1. The built-in "backup & restore" feature will produce an XML (even if it is zipped, it is an XML internally). It contains comments, but I am not sure about attachments.
  2. Better Excel Exporter can produce you an Excel spreadsheet. This app is available even for very old Jira versions. It will export comments, but will not export the attachments.
  3. Better PDF Exporter can produce you a PDF document even with the attachments embedded! You can produce a PDF with an issue table, so it "looks like a spreadsheet", although it is technically not a spreadsheet.

I hope you can use one of these or their combination to solve your use case.

(Discl. the apps mentioned are paid and supported by our team. They free for 10 users!)
