How to expand to timeline view of roadmap

In the project roadmap the timeline view end in the end of year 2021 now. How can I expand the view on year 2023 for example? End date of Epic can be selected over the year 2021, but the view still ends in the December 2021... I really need a longer timeline.

The roadmap was introduced first with the limit 3 years in the future, but due to performance issues, this limit was changed to 2 years.

Also, due to the performance issues, there are no plans to expand the timeline.

There is a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:
