We often have releases at the end of the sprint. Our last two swimlanes are ready for Prod and Done. These normally do not occur until the last day of the sprint. Because of this the burndown charts never look correct. Is there a way to elimiante these swimlanes from the burndown chart?

Hi @Clint Harris,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You are actually referring to "columns" - on vertical; the "swimlanes" (a feature of the agile board) are on horizontal.

Unfortunately this is not possible, the Jira's burdown chart considers as done the issues from the last board column.

A possible solution would be to search for a plugin on Atlassian Marketplace that offers a burdown chart capable to work with selected statuses.

If you consider the idea of using a plugin, our Great Gadgets app offers a Sprint Burndown Burnup Chart gadget that allows you to select custom done statuses.

The same app offers a Team Velocity gadget and a Release Burndown Burnup Chart gadget that works the same; so this way you could a complete Scrum dashboard based on your custom done statuses. Hi @Clint Harris -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

If I correctly understand your question, the answer is "no".

Jira boards have vertical columns with status values mapped to them.  I believe you are calling those "swimlanes".  In Jira, swimlanes are the horizontal groupings to optionally allow gathering issues by some criteria, such as having the same Epic parent.

Jira Scrum boards and Sprints determine an issue is completed when it is in the last column on the board.  This is used in the reports, such as the burndown chart.

Kind regards,
Bill
