Hi,

Create a test environment, install Jira Data Generator plugin (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.jira.plugins.jira-data-generator). Generate 300k or maybe even 500k issues. Then try doing some operations to see how well everything works or how much space you need.
