How to edit the name used in Comment section

Baybars Kumbasar January 27, 2016

Hello,

When you enter a comment on an issue, the generic template is like this:

Hi <Full Name>,

<comment goes here>

  • <Full Name>

And our Active directory lists the full names as <Last Name, First Name> format.

Is it possible to modify this template by using "First name" property only from AD?

Thanks,

Baybars

Which attributes are used when making the usernames are configured in your LDAP user directory in JIRA.

In the User Schema settings, just set different first name / last name attributes, those that match.

Of course, this won't affect only the comments, but everywhere these names are used, because this literally changes the name attributes of your LDAP users.

Thanks for your help, I can't seem to find where to change the user schema settings. Is there a link where this is explained?
