How to disable the "Configure fields" button on creation issue pop-up ?

Hello,

This new feature in jira 5 has to be disabled for our company, as it allows users to edit customfields during the creation but we don't want them to be set before a specific later step in the workflow.

You cannot disable that, but you can disable that feature of small pop-up window for issue creation/editing. This will get rid of the configure fields as well.

You need to unzip the bundled-plugins.zip, remove the "quick edit plugin" jar file and rezip and place it a the same location. Restart JIRA after that.
