How to disable email for all Issues?

I subscribed to receive an email for every Issue for a particular project. I no longer want to see all these emails, but I cannot find how to change this setting.

You delete your subscriptions under Manager Filters.

I tried 'Manage Filters' by following the User Guide and it says "You have no filters" yet I still get an email for every Issue's change in status. (I'm using version 4.4.)

Still experiencing this problem and have upgraded to version 5.1.
