How to create a stream. Add gadgets not in Dashboard?

Hello, I would like to add a stream to my Portfolio for Jira, however the link on how to add gadgets, says Dashboard > Add Gadget.

Unfortunately, there is no Add Gadget option in the Dashboard?

Any suggestions please?

 I see Activity Stream, however I'm referring to the Portfolio for JIRA which shows mutiple streams in the graphics at the bottom.

I need to view multiple projects (or maybe another term such as Initiative or Epic?) for an overall big picture.

(I also notice no due dates on my issues in the dashboard or projects, but this might be another question I need to post).

Have you look at the top right side of the page after you open dashboard.
