How to create a project template in Jira on-demand hosted instance ?

Vishnu K November 19, 2013

Hello,

Our company has a running Jira instance (on-demand) and many projects are already using it.

Current requirement is to create a separate Jira project template like software development or software bug tracking template, so that newly created projects will extend that template.

I could able to create the template by means of Atlassian SDK by following this link

https://developer.atlassian.com/display/JIRADEV/Creating+a+Project+Template

My Jira instance is hosted one, not installed version. How can I create a new project template from Jira user interface ? I have the necessary administration/global-user rights.

Earlier response is highly appreciated.

You are not allowed to install plugins (including your own) with OnDemand. You will have to do templates in some other way like, for instance, How to create projects or sets of issues based on a template
