Is it possible to create a new ticket when a checkbox is checked in another ticket?

Ideally the new ticket will be linked to the original and Summary value will be copied from original to the new ticket.

Another option is to do this via a post function on a transition using Create on Transition Plugin for JIRA . How to condition the creation of issues has more on this.
