HI !
We are researching JIRA and we have tried to create a JIRA customized project template to be used to create a new working area based on it.
We have followed the tutorial to do it -->https://developer.atlassian.com/jiradev/jira-platform/projects/tutorial-creating-a-project-template
But we have arrived to a step where we understand that in order to create a customized project template we need to create Java classes, then we need to have a Java development skill.
Could anybody confirm that ?
Besides, we have thought that there should be some previous definitions for these classes ( methods, attributes etc. ) to be used by JIRA.
Then, IS there any documentation about it ? Is there any examples ? Has anybody done it ?
Thanks in advances.
Hi Andrea
The following plugin might help you: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.wittified.jira.project-creator
You can also check the answer below related to this matter as well: How can I create a canned project template
Hope it helps!

Hi Luciano !
Thanks for your answer. I could create a Project Template and create a new project based on it but at the same environment.
Do you know if it is possible export a Project Template to be import in another server or environment and used to create a project based on it ?
Thanks in advance.

I would have the same question. Was there an answer to your original question "Do you know if it is possible export a Project Template to be import in another server or environment and used to create a project based on it ?"
Thank you,
Anh
