How to configure SSO between Jira (on premise) and Confluence OnDemand?

Gerald Russell April 8, 2013

We would like to move from JIRA OnDemand to JIRA Download so that we can gain access to plugins (Structure). We would like to keep our Confluence OnDemand instead of bringing that in-house, too. Is it possible to use Crowd (or some other SSO enabler) to configure SSO between the on premise instance of JIRA and OnDemand instance of Confluence?

Thanks -- Gerald.

Hi Gerald,

From the mouth of the OnDemand Administrators/Support team, "SSO between locally installed and OnDemand is not possible."

This is due to the fact that you have to configure some property files for each application located on the filesystem, which you will not have the ability to do with an OnDemand instance.
