How to configure LDAP with JIRA?

Michal Palka November 5, 2014

according to manual:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Connecting+to+an+LDAP+Directory?continue=https%3A%2F%2Fconfluence.atlassian.com%2Fdisplay%2FJIRA%2FConnecting%2Bto%2Ban%2BLDAP%2BDirectory&application=cac

part:

To connect JIRA to an LDAP directory:

  1. Log in as a user with the 'JIRA System Administrators' global permission.
  2. Choose > User Management > User Directories.
    tickKeyboard shortcut: 'g' + 'g' + start typing 'directories'.
  3. Add a directory and select one of these types:
    • 'Microsoft Active Directory' – This option provides a quick way to select AD, because it is the most popular LDAP directory type.
    • 'LDAP' – You will be able to choose a specific LDAP directory type on the next screen.

i cant see "User Directories" in my admin account, how to "turn that on"?

BR,

Michal

LDAP is not currently supported with Cloud. It is a restricted function now. See https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AOD-1837 for more details.
