How to configure Email This Issue plugin to store emails as comments

Dear Experts,

 

We are evaluating Email This Issue plugin and it is very good. Just one thing which we can't configure - how to store emails as issue comment. All the incoming and outgoing emails are stored safely in Emails tab, but not in Comments.

We need this to use JIRA feature : export RSS Comments. Right now, email comments are not exported via this feature.

Hi,

I have missed your question, sorry about that.

Incoming emails: they are added as comments if the JIRA/JETI handler processes them. Emails creating new issues will not be added as comments to the same issue.

Outgoing: you can configure JETI to add a comment for outgoing emails when you send emails manually or doing Bulk email sending. Automated emails like event notifications and emails sent on workflow transitions by the Email This Issue post function, are not added as comments.

Did you know that Email items from the Email tab appear in the "All" tab within the issue? Cannot you use that to do RSS export?
