How to change the jira administrator

I need to change the JIRA administrator from another users account to mine.

Amongst other things, this is so I can upgrade from 25-50 users.

Can I change the admin? And do I need to to change the number of users?

Hi Simon,

Only the current JIRA admin can upgrade your username to admin levels.

If you are using a monthly subscription on Jira Cloud, there is no need upgrade the license.
Just add additional users to the instance and you will be billed for them at the end of the billing run.
 
If you are using an annual license, contact the Customer Advocates (sales) at https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact , for the upgrade

Remember that you won't get *system* admin privileges - that's for Atlassian only (and doesn't count towards your licence seats). For the JIRA admin, the current admins just need to add you to the admin group, then you can remove them
