How to change open issues filter

Az November 30, 2017

I work with a local jira instance.

At times we will be finished with a task and mark it as done (which sets the resolution to Resolved). This will then take the issue out of the default 'open issues filter' on the issues screen.

However, in some cases something is missed or something comes back and the issue has to be re-opened. However, I am unable to set the resolution to unresolved. Thus this issue does not appear in the default 'open issues filter' on the issues screen which all the developers use.

Is there a workaround or fix for this? It is a very annoying issue.

Thanks!

Hello Aaz,

In my instance then resolving issue showed Transition screen where located Resolution field. Hence every time I remember value can be set default value.

Second moment is clear resolution if issue reopen,  for set it I am using post-function with build-in function clear Resolution.

Third trick is for transitions like Declined, I have prepared in post-function resolution like Won't Fix.

For fix you situation please, use this docs:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/closed-issues-show-as-unresolved-or-open-issues-appear-as-resolved-with-strike-through-151126301.html

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/resolutions-are-not-set-225122076.html
