How to change generated mail when account is created?

Hello,

How to change generated mail when account is created? I tried to change usercreated.vm file (..\JIRA\atlassian-jira\WEB-INF\classes\templates\email\text\usercreated.vm), but the message doesn't change.

My version of JIRA is 4.4.4

Are your users getting html mail, or plain text?  Also, did you restart JIRA after the edit?

There was html mails. I didn't restart JIRA, is it needed?

Ok, two things 1. Yes, you need a restart for it to pick up the changed templates 2. You've altered the plain text notification, I think you might need to amend .../email/html/usercreated.vm (although I can't remember if that exists in 4.4)

OK, thanks. I hope restart of JIRA will help. P.S. .../email/html/usercreated.vm is don't exist, only on 'text' folder
