How to block the edition for a custom field ?

Hello,

I would like to create a custom field ==>  i know make that

But I would that this field must be edited only by the workflow.

i know how to fill this field by the workflow.

But I would like that when a user is editing the issue, this field mustn't be modified ==> how can i make that please ?

Hi Aurelie,

Do you mean, you need to block editing a custom field for all users or some users on Edit screen?

- If you mean blocking edition for all users, you can move this custom field out of Edit screen

- If you mean blocking editing for some users, JIRA doesn't provide this feature. Workaround: you can try Field Security Plug-in for JIRA
