How to automatic (for example by any command line tool in post build action) set release version is out in Jira?

We would like to make all jobs was done in more automatic way - the software has abilities to auto comment its version, versions of used protocols. We want to make notice about release in Jira fill in automatic way during deploy process in "post build action". We use C# - if there is not command line tool we can use some other ways - any suggestion and examples do you have? I will be appreciate.

JIRA Command Line Interface has various actions including actions on versions. And if you are using Bamboo, there is CLI Plugin for Bamboo.
