How to asssign story/sprint to a Team

shubham patni March 30, 2016

I'm trying to understand JIRA workflow. Is there a way to create an Team and assign Story/Sprint to that team.

Please update. #Thanks.

In a way. You can create an id pointing to an email distribution list. Remove the id from the jira-users group because it won't logon. Then you can assign the issue to that id. The drawback is it won't appear in any of the 'assigned to me' built in filters for anyone. Which usually means it gets neglected.

Yes, assigning to a group is pretty much a universal failure, because you can't point at anyone and say "you need to deal with this".

This is a very bad idea.

Assignee should be a single person, otherwise no-one will be accountable. If it is the responsibility of multiple persons, then in fact it is responsibility of no-one.
