How to add and limit members of other companies working on the same project?

Hello,

I am managing the development of a program that includes teams from different companies. We are primarily using JIRA to track any issues that come up. I have added them to our list of "users", however I do not wish them to see all our information on JIRA or Confluence. How do I assign users to a single project in JIRA? I ahve tried adding them to a "group" and just adding that group to the project, but it was not effective.

Can someone please advise me?

Hi Alexandra,

I would take a look at the Communities post "Solved: How can I restrict a user, so he can only see one project only?"

Yvonne's answer gives a detailed explanation as to how to accomplish this task and why it's done in the manner it is done in.

Cheers,

Branden
