How to add CCB activity to default workflow?

Hi

We are using the default system workflow.

Whenever an issue is on Open status, a change control board decides whether to fix it or not and we would like to track the amount of time an issue spends in open status awaiting a CCB decision only.

How is this possible? What are the options available?

Note: We do not want to add a new status 'Pending with CCB' or something in order to keep workflow simple.

This is a case where you need to think about how your data flows.

How does Jira know that an "open" issue is waiting for some form of approval? How do the approvers tell Jira the decision has been made? How do you know whether it needs approval or not?

You need to think about how you record that data before you can really start worrying about how you're going to report on it!
