How to account for regression testing in a portfolio plan.

As a team we are new to using portfolio for JIRA and have a few things that have come up that we need a bit of advice on.

One of those is Regression testing and how to add that into the plan to sit at the end of the dev work.

We have added as a task just called "regression" for now but wanted to know if anyone includes regression and how this is done?
