How to Synch 2 Jira Projects.

Narendra Singh October 6, 2017

Hi All/Support Team,

I have requirement is to sync Test cases along with Test steps from Project A to Project B within in same Jira Instance.

To further describe our scenario:

1. We have Project A with Test Cases and Test steps
2. Later we created another project of Project A i.e. Project B
3. When ever we do updates to test steps in Project A we are forced to do manual updates to Project B which is quite tedious.

So we were looking for help to check if there is some way we can do sync between 2 projects without much manual effort.

Thanks

Narendra

Hi Narendra,

with plain Jira, this is not possible. There are apps on the marketplace that provide functions for that, e.g. "Jira Misc Workflow Extensions" (that is the one we use for these purpose, works well).

You have to link the issues from project A and project B and then you are able to transition a linked issue in the other project too.
