This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: How to Limit Service Desk Visibility to Customers on Portal

Can I edit "popular" space to be not visible? If not is there any way to disable it?

I don't believe that is currently possible. There are some open suggestions out there, e.g. JSD-4279. You can configure the portal but it is limited.
