How to Import a Workflow with changes to the same Active Workflow without adding New Workflow Name?

I have an Active Workflow, i have made a change in Dev instance to a workflow.

Exported that workflow as XML, and while trying to import that workflow, i have been asked to Enter a New Workflow Name and it goes to InActive state.

I doesn't want to edit the Active Workflow directly in production, i wanted to do in Dev and Import that to Prod.

Is there any way to Import the Changed Workflow to the Active workflow directly without creating a New Workflow Name?

I tried this and when I imported the workflow I was asked what to name it but I could name it the exact same thing.  Even when I did this the result is still an inactive workflow:

You may be able to do something like this with Project Configurator.
