How much resource do we need to run Jira and Service Desk

Hi,

Currently, we installed service desk plugin in JIRA Tracker but the problem is we are facing with memory consumption (overloaded) frequently starting from the time we installed Service Desk Plugins.

We are using 2GB memory for that server. How much resource do we need to run Jira and Service Desk?

Hi!

This is a tricky question to answer since it depends on a lot. Start with checking the https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/scaling-jira-7-3-867337072.html scaling documentation.

I would recommend verifying that you run Java 8 if possible with the version you have and activate G1GC garbage collect method. Increase memory in a controlled manner for example if 2GB is not enough try with 3GB or more if its apparent more is needed.
