How much integration can we get with GitLab?

Deleted user July 27, 2014

We're interested in migrating from Redmine to JIRA+Confluence.

Redmine provides quite a few useful integrations with GitLab, which we really hope to continue enjoying in JIRA+Confluence. How many of these features are available natively or via add-ons?

  • Add a JIRA issue reference in Git commit comments, and have it appear in the JIRA issue as a new comment.
  • Close a JIRA issue via a Git commit comment.
  • In JIRA issue description or comments, easily create a hyperlink to a Gitlab tag, commit or file (something quick like git:deadbeef, git:foo/bar/boo.cpp:134)
  • Similarly, in a Confluence article, create such a hyperlink with a short syntax.

Thanks!

Atlassian is dedicated to sell their own code hosting products (Fisheye, Stash and Bitbucket), so they are integrated.

You will have a hard time integrating other tools. We had to write our own app to get Jira integrated with Gitorious.
