How grant project admin rights to manage custom field values

Is there any way to grant the project admin a role or rights to manage custom fields and their values?

We have a custom field, let's say "manufacturer"

The project admin should be able to maintain (add, edit, delete) values of this custom field.

Giving the project admin JIRA system admin rights is not really an option for us.

Any ideas are welcome.

Take a look at the marketplace. There are several adding that does this. One is Deiser's Profields.

Thank you Daniel, I have looked at the marketplace and searched for "Project Admin" as well as "Deiser"

I found two tools:

To my understanding Profields manages it on a project level but I need it to be on a issue level, so Project Field Manager is a perfect match!
