How does Atlassian have a board come up by default in Jira?

Atlassian, I noticed when I go to a project - say https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/STASH - a kanban board comes up and there's additional options on the left. How do you make a board come up by default? Is this a JIRA 6.4 feature or is there an add-on your using or is there an option I'm missing? Or?

Hi Kelly,

That is the new project navigation that will be released on JIRA 6.4.

We hope you enjoy this feature!

Kind Regards,

Paulo.
