We have a status in our workflow called 'In Progress'. Both development and testing takes place while the issues is in this status. When the issue first enters this status, the assignee is the developer. When development is complete, the developer (assignee) executes a transition called 'Development Complete'. This allows them to enter required fields/information and, as a workflow post function, the assignee is set to the tester.

How do I represent this transition within a Kanban board? For all other transitions we can drag-and-drop the issue into the next status (cloumn). You can not drag-and-drop within the same status (column) on a Kanban board.

Helo

I strongly believe that the best approach would be to create a new status for this transition.

Thanks for the feedback Thiago. I was hoping to avoid creating a new status. Creating a new status means end users will have to modify all their filters. For those managers with multiple teams, this could mean quite a few filters updates/modifications.
