How do you filter Activity Stream by project category in Atlassian Cloud Jira?

How you filter Activity Stream by project category in Atlassian Cloud Jira.  I only see an option to filter by project.  I submitted a support issue, but they said this is only possible on self-hosted instances via the Quick Fitlers Plugin (not available on cloud).  The support person encouraged me to submit the question here, so I am

Hi Ryan,

The reason this is only available for self hosted instances is because this is provided by the Quick Filters Plugin for Activity Stream, and in Cloud not all add-on are allowed to be installed. I took the liberty of creating an improvement to make this add-on available in Cloud:https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CLOUD-7833
