How do you enable e-mail logging for Jira version 3.13.2? Is this version capable of doing that?

How do you enable e-mail logging for Jira version 3.13.2? Is this version capable of doing that? We had a period of time where e-mails were not being sent via Jira and our exchange administrator confirmed that there were no record of the e-mails. We would like to enable e-mail tracking so that we can verify that e-mails are successfully being sent by Jira. How do we do this?

Documentation on enabling logging here can be found at the docs here: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/v3.13/log_and_prof.html If you go into the UI and identify the mail comonent, you can raise the log4j log level for it.
