How do you add an item to a next-gen board

Jeannine Hooper-Yan December 3, 2019

We are trying out the next gen project and I've run into an unexpected challenge.

I was expecting items to move onto the board based on status.  So - no matter where I was, if I change the status from "To Do" to "In Progress" - I expected the issue to move onto the board in the column for status In Progress.

Instead - it looks like issues stay on the Backlog page, regardless of status, until the issue is manually moved from the backlog to the board.

Is this right?

We are using a Kanban board with backlog enabled.

the way NG works is that w/in the Backlog view you have a "Backlog" and a "Board" section. if you wish them to appear on the board you drag them to that section. Once that is done they should appear in the proper column.
