How do we remove the search box on the service desk portal page (knowledge base is disabled already)?

The box that say "What do you need help with?" takes up significant space on the portal home page.  As we don't have the knowledge base it is also pretty misleading and not needed.  However I cannot see how to get rid of it.

I found a plugin for this and it's free. 

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.itransition.csam.helpcenter-corrector/server/overview

Install and select the 2 checkbox's in the configuration page.

it will remove from the help center and from the portal pages

Sadly only an option for Server - we are on Cloud.
