How do we lock a case for futher assignment before needed information i served

1 - Create a case - and assign it to Project Leader

2 - The Case will be created

3 - Then the Project Leader (assigned) starts a information gathering to fullfill values

Q. Is It possible to lock the case for Assignment before all the needed values are fullfilled?

4 - When the values are fullfilled, the Assign function will be opened, for futher assignment

How to?

You can use workflow properties to control assign functionality. See http://www.j-tricks.com/1/post/2011/02/permissions-based-on-workflow-status.html

But the project lead will have change the status after all the required information is entered, for the assign button to appear again. Sort of a workaround.
