Hopefully I'm just missing something. But one of our managers is requesting that anytime a user in the group she manages opens a ticket, she is notified. This group can open tickets across a wide variety of projects as well.
I'm afraid that this is not possible within JIRA currently. However, I have created a new feature request for this here:
Please feel free to add it to your watch-list to get notified about any updates on the ticket. As well as, voting for the ticket to attract the developers attention.
