How do i find what version of JIRA that im using

Im very new to JIRA system and my first login to the JIRA system is today.

HOw do i find find what version of jira is used by my prjoect?

In the login page footer section im able to see the follwing content.

Bug tracking, issue tracking and project management software powered by Atlassian JIRA (v4.0.1#471) | Report a problem | Request a feature | Contact administrators

So is it specifies that we are using JIRA Version of 4.0.1?

Yes. The footer tells you the version.

This is not longer accurate, for OnDemand at least.

• It's a 3 year old question. (I was talking with Atlassian 48 hours ago about deprecating old content on Answers, we're working on that sort of thing)
• OnDemand doesn't exist any more
• It's still valid for Server.

Same as you did in 2013, or even 2004 from memory.

and the "About Jira" doesn't display that info either...

If it's not in "about Jira", then I'd guess you're on Cloud.  Where you are on "latest" and have no reason to worry about the actual version because it doesn't affect what you're doing and you have no control over it.
