How do i choose which product and what will it cost

l_thomas September 25, 2019

Thinking of getting Jira and would be best having the Clod version.

I need to get a BA to write Epics & User Stories or converting Requirements into these , if that is possible.  Put these in Sprints

I then need to create test scenarios /scripts?  The whole test process.

I am a PM so need  to see  - visually at a glance (reporting /dashboards)  what is in the product backlog and what is in Sprints what their status is

Any defects emanating and issues for resolution

Can we create a project or test plan in Jira?  I have MSP I just need to know.

Create a Test plan?

Can i add attachments  to a User story for the  developer s and testers

Need to collaborate with Suppliers who are external to the organisation so how do we collaborate?

It may well be that we could use the Ticketing system for helpdesk so an idea of cost of that would be helpful

Your urgent response would be appreciated

Hi

For your purposes, Jira software is suitable, as it has more features for reports and dashboards

Also, for testing, you need to use a plugin, for example, this one

  1. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1014681/zephyr-for-jira-test-management?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
  2. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211769/xray-test-management-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
  3. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213259/tm4j-test-management-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

If you do not want to use plugins, you can use Confluence, there you can store test cases in tabular form

You can add attachments

For this, you can use the Jira Service Desk. It is a system with realy easy integration between other products

Thank you for response -  confused slightly -  The suppliers I mentioned are the service integrators - i e. those supplying us with the software application for the organisation so we need to collaborate and organise sprints together, understanding the Users stories  work on defects etc

The Service desk i was thinking of was more about tickets to IT / support  -  is this the same as you are thinking

Thanks

Hi Yevhen

So I understand that i need Jira Software - Cloud   and i would like the  Zephyr plug in for testing

How do i go about purchasing  and obtaining training so this can be set up?  i need this ready for next week.    How much would training cost for 3 people?

Thanks in anticipation of your support
