How do i allow service desk customers add other people to a story like comments

You must enable the option to customers to add participants to tickets, as per the instructions in the Enable Request Participants section in the link below:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedesk/managing-customers-660967473.html#Managingcustomers-Enablingrequestparticipants

Then the customer will see an option in the Customer portal to add participants to their tickets.
