How do I view the version report for a parent version in the version hierarchy?

I just began working with the `Version Hierarchy`. I added several alpha and beta versions under an initial release version in the hierarchy. When in the `Version Hierarchy` view, and the parent version is selected, all of the issues from the children versions appear. However, when the parent version is selected in the `Version Report`, it says, "This version does not contain any issues".

I would like to be able to see the progress as a whole rather than intermediate releases. I believe that this should make the forecasting more accurate as it will have more data.

If it makes a difference, I have not set start and release dates for the parent version but I don't believe that this should affect the `Version Report`.

ok sorry , i got this already this how to do that...the only question remaining is now how can I do that some version dates and so on are in a light grey color (the prerelase dates) and the other ones in a dark normal black. the delivery dates...
