How do I set Sprint dates and have them stick?

Before I begin a Sprint, I set the begin and end dates/times.  However, when I click Complete Sprint it overrides the end date...which makes me grumpy.  I'd like to be less grumpy every two weeks.  How do I get JIRA to recognize that end date/time was what I really want?

Technically the sprint ends when you click the button since the issues and reports are adjusted at that time.  This is probably why Atlassian chose to default the date to the current day when you close the sprint.  I'm not sure that is configurable to have it default to your configured end date.

You can try to submit a feature request to the JRA backlog to see if they'd add it.
