How do I reprioritize issues in the backlock and update plan?

Hello,

I asked this question before x-mas, but didn't get any use able answers. I would really appreciate feedback soon. I'm not using releases at the moment, as we don't use this in the company - could that help? :

Hello,

I'm trying to reorder the initiatives in the portfolio backlog to reflect our business requirements, but this doesn't seem to update the plan very well. In particular there is one project that is highest priority for us, but the plan keeps putting it to the back.

It's a business critical project and had a deadline (unlike some others) so I would really like to be able to put this first, even if it means other work is then not as effective, if that makes sense?

I have put images below:

Hi Laura,

You can try to use the "earlier start" date field.

Just remember that Atlassian is working on a big portfolio update, so a lot of things could change
