How do I remove an internal User with a duplicate username from an LDAP server

Wayne Wylupski November 24, 2013

The same username is in a Jira Internal Directory and an LDAP directory. I'd like to remove the local user, but I'm prevented because there are issues associated with them. As I understand it, once the local user is gone the issues will associated with the LDAP user.

How can I delete the account in the Jira Internal Directory in this case?

Hi Wayne, in the case that you have duplicated users, one in each directory, the user the belongs to the directory on the top position at User Directories will be the one used by JIRA. So, I believe the only thing you need to do is move the LDAP directory to the top position.

I hope it helps

Cheers
