How do I re-index if there isn't an Indexing option in Advanced System Settings?

While Nic is correct in that the system is building and rebuilding indexes as needed, the broader answer is that:

It depends on your platform for Jira.  

 

If you are using Jira Cloud, you are not expected to control the indexing of Jira.

However if you are using Jira Server, then only the Jira Administrators will have access to the Indexing page in the system administration menu.

You don't.  The system will now detect when one is needed and do it for you.
