How do I get the gantt feature to utilize Due Dates instead of release date for JIRA Portfolio?

I already have all my due dates set in JIRA and I need to have a gantt chart to read off of those due dates for upper management. How do I change this?

Hi Brittney, unfortunately this is not possible in JIRA Portfolio. The goal of the tool is to help you come up with realistic (forecasted) end dates of initiatives, epics and stories based on teams' availabilities and the estimates, and these are the dates displayed in the chart. You can go the other way, i.e. have Portfolio help you determine the date and then set it as a due date on the issue, but not vice versa.
