How do I get a stacked bar chart by issue type?

Hi, I'm new to JIRA. I created a filter to narrow down by issuetype=bug and issuetype=story.

I'd like to have a stacked bar chart showing these items resolved by month. While I'm able to create and save the filter I need, I have not figured out how I can get these items represented in a stacked bar chart format. 

Is this functionality built into JIRA or is there a plug in I need to purchase in order to be able to display this info in the way I want? Help is much appreciated!

You have two options:

  1. Create a dashboard: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Adding+the+Filter+Results+Gadget
  2. Create a JIRA Agile board using your filter: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AGILE/Configuring+a+Board
