How do I configure BitBucket from JIRA OnDemand?

pcondal February 21, 2014

I'm trying to configure BitBucket for a Project from JIRA OnDemand.

To do so, I go to an issue on JIRA OnDemand, click the Source tab, and then click Configure.

The first roadblock is that the URL generated by the Configure button is wrong. It is a bug in JIRA OnDemand.

The URL reads:

https://{yourOnDemandInstance}.atlassian.net/secure/admin/ConfigureBitbucketOAuth!default.jspa

But instead it should read (please note that the exclamation mark next to default.jspa should be a forward slash):

https://{yourOnDemandInstance}.atlassian.net/secure/admin/ConfigureBitbucketOAuth/default.jspa

However even after fixing this, I run into a second roadblock: the Import from service page that appears is not very clear to me. It has the apparently undocumented field URL to Account Information XML, and it is not clear what has to be put there in order to bind Jira OnDemand with BitBucket.

Does anyone know what should be put in field URL to Account Information XML?

Hi Josep,

I think in this case the best solution will be if you open a ticket with Support under the Atlassian OnDemand project then one of my colleagues from the OnDemand team will be able to login to your instance and help you get this configured properly, and of course also investigate whether there is any bugs or problems that might impact other customers. You can open a ticket in our Support JIRA here: https://support.atlassian.com/

All the best,
John
