How do I associate an existing Kanban board to an existing JIRA project?

JIRA projects have a handy drop-down list of boards associated with the project. The problem is that I have an existing board using that project, but where the drop down normally appears is a "Create Board" hyperlink. I could create a new board, but then I have an old board lying around sowing confusion. Is there a way to take an existing board and add it to that drop-down list?  Either as the project admin or a system admin?

If you are a board administrator you can go to board configuration menu and either change board filter or edit the existing board filter query to include your project.

Yes, As said by RVal, go to board Configuration

Click on Configure and edit the filter Query to include Project
