How do I add labels to a page or question that I did not initially create?

I'd like to be able to appropriately categorize (label) pages and questions that my team posts, but given that I did not create the page/question, this functionality is denied when I try. Is there something I'm missing here?

You need permission to edit the page in order to be able to add a label.

When you say this functionality is 'denied', I'm guessing it is because you don't have edit permission for pages you want to add labels to.
